The Pilates Studio is excited to introduce to you our newest instructor Kyanne Danowsky. Kyanne has taught dance for over 25 years. In 2000 it had taken its toll and after experiencing low back pain and surgery, she tried Pilates on a suggestion from a friend. As strength and balanced muscle tone returned after only three months, she was hooked. She continued teaching dance with renewed vigor and endurance. It didn’t take long with her movement background before she decided to get certified to teach Pilates. She is Balanced Body University trained and certified in Mat 1 and 2, Reformer 1, 2 and 3 and Arc apparatus training. She has been teaching Pilates for over 5 years in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and now she hopes to inspire students in the Pilates method here in Salida. With her years of dance training and teaching, Kyanne has a good eye for proper alignment and enjoys seeing improvement in her clients. She believes that Pilates is the perfect exercise for everyone because it works the whole body in a balanced way and can be modified to fit any fitness level. When Kyanne’s husband, Phil retired last February, they decided to fulfill a life long dream and move to the mountains. They picked up their bags, lock, stock and barrel, and moved from the lush farmlands of Iowa and found a home with a small apple orchard and gardens in Cotopaxi, Colorado. What a change! What an adventure! They love the outdoors and are in awe of the beauty around them. Kyanne loves to hike mountain trails and is eager to try her hand at snowshoeing and other mountain sports. They have great expectations for their life here in Colorado, a state that has so much to offer.
Please introduce yourself and welcome Kyanne to our Pilates family!
